Honda Introduces All-New 2018 Odyssey Minivan

At this year’s North American International Auto Show Honda unveiled the all-new 2018 Odyssey Minivan, with a fresh new design, improved performance and the latest safety and entertainment technology. The 2018 Honda Odyssey is expected to arrive at Hardin Honda this spring, and remains the most popular minivan among individual American car buyers.

The exterior of the new Odyssey features the signature lightning bolt beltline, a bold and sporty front fascia with an Active Shutter Grille for improved fuel efficiency and LED headlights and taillights. A new hands-free power tailgate with foot activation is also available.

Inside, Honda has upped the level of in-vehicle connectivity with its new family connectivity concept. These features include a new Display Audio system with 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a Connected Rear Entertainment System and a Social Play List, which allows family members to upload their music choices via smartphone like a virtual jukebox.

A new CabinWatch feature uses a camera to allow the driver and front passenger to keep watch on passengers both day and night, and the CabinTalk feature allows the driver to talk to the second and third-row passengers via the in-car entertainment speakers or headphones. New Magic Slide seats make it easier than ever to reconfigure the seats for whichever mode you need most.

For 2018, all EX and above trim level Odysseys will receive the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety features and driver-assist technologies. Honda Sensing includes: Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation and Adaptive Cruise Control.

The 2018 Honda Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-liter direct-injected i-VTEC V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management and an improved 280 horsepower. A nine-speed automatic transmission comes standard, and upper grades receive an all-new, Honda-developed 10-speed automatic transmission – the first ever for a minivan.
