The 2016 Honda Odyssey is on sale now, and a new Special Edition rounds out the lineup by including premium features at a lower price point, including the popular HondaVAC integrated vacuum. Other features included are a rear entertainment system, 115 volt power outlet and SiriusXM Radio.
“Our Odyssey customers have told us some of the features they value most and we have packaged these in the new Odyssey SE model to create a special value edition that we know American families are going to love,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of Honda Sales.
All Odysseys continue to be powered by a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 that produces 248 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque that achieves a class-leading 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with the help of Variable Cylinder Management.
The Odyssey has also received a number of awards in 2015, including the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy for minivans, the ALG Residual Value Award for best minivan and was named the Best Minivan for Families for the fifth year in a row by U.S. News & World Report.
Additional premium features available on the Honda Odyssey include keyless entry with push button start, a multi-angle rearview camera, Honda LaneWatch with Blind Spot Information system and Neural 5.1 Surround audio.
Like many other Honda vehicles, the Odyssey uses next-generation Honda Advance Compatibility Engineering body structure that uses high-strength steel to protect occupants in a collision. Driver-assist safety features including Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are also available.
