The all-new 2017 Honda Civic Si Coupe and Sedan are now available, bringing sporty looks, quick acceleration and dynamic handling to the sport compact segment. This is the first time a turbocharged engine has been featured in a Civic Si, and the 1.5-liter produces an impressive 2015 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque.
Compared to the previous Civic Si, the new model has significantly more torque available at lower in the rev range, giving drivers more off the line power. The direct-injected and turbocharged engine is paired to a short-throw six-speed manual transmission for a fun driving experience.
The 2017 Honda Civic Si is also lighter than the previous generation, coming in at 96 and 113 pounds lighter for the Sedan and Coupe. The sport-tuned suspension features a two-mode adaptive damper system, stiffer springs and more rigid stabilizer bars for better stability and cornering performance.
Other performance features have also been upgraded, including larger front brake rotors, wider tires and a helical limited-slip differential. Drivers now can switch between two driving modes: Normal and Sport. Selecting Sport Mode adjusts the suspension damping settings, steering feel and throttle response for a sportier driving experience.
Outside, the 2017 Civic Si has an aggressive front fascia, 18-inch alloy wheels, low profile tires and a chrome center-mounted exhaust finisher. The Si Coupe adds a raised wing spoiler and full-width light bar, and the Si Sedan gets an exclusive rear fascia and decklid wing spoiler.
Inside, drivers have a number of upgraded tech features, including a Driver Information Interface which gives real-time performance information, 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 450-watt, 10-speaker premium sound system.
